What is the meaning of pressure washing?
Pressure washing refers to the use of a mechanical pump to force water through a narrow nozzle at pressures far beyond what a standard garden hose produces, in order to remove dirt, algae, mold, and other buildup from hard outdoor surfaces. The pump can be driven by an electric motor or a gas engine, and its output is measured in two key figures: PSI (pounds per square inch), which measures force, and GPM (gallons per minute), which measures water volume. Together, these determine both cleaning speed and cleaning power. Unlike simply hosing down a surface, pressure washing’s concentrated force physically dislodges embedded grime rather than just rinsing the surface layer, which is why it’s the standard method for cleaning driveways, patios, decks, fences, and building exteriors across residential and commercial properties alike.
